At the Institute of Music, Worship and the Arts you will find an atmosphere
of creativity and a spirit of excellence. IMWA provides a program of
study in church worship ministry utilizing music and/or the arts. All
students are required to take the same foundational theological courses.
In addition each student receives training in music or the arts, whether
it be instrumental, vocal, drama or liturgical/worship dance. Training in
these specialized areas will equip them to not only be "salt and light"
in the community, but also well prepared for church music and worship ministry.
Who may take classes?
- Anyone (including non-musicians) who
want to develop the heart of a worshiper and become more sensitized to
the abiding presence of God.
- All who want specialized training at
any level in music, art, drama, dance and expressive arts.
- Those who desire to become worship
leaders who can effectively lead others into the presence of God.
- Worship leaders who want further
training in their ministries and perhaps wish to earn a Certificate of
Worship or more advanced degrees.
