We must
therefore train and develop
not only the gifts and
talents of Christian
musicians and artists, but
mentor their development of
a Christ-like character and
lifestyle.
In the restoration of the
arts as part of the "all
things" mentioned in Acts
3:21, which shall be
happening when Jesus
returns.
That mankind may enjoy
various expressions of art,
music, dance, drama, etc.
but their ultimate purpose
should be to lead us into
God's presence and result in
us praising and worshiping
our God.
There is
only one God who has
revealed Himself as our
Father, the Son and the Holy
Spirit, who are co-existent,
co-equal, and co-eternal.
In the absolute lordship and deity of Christ, including
His pre-existence, His virgin birth and sinless life, His atoning death, His
bodily resurrection, and His return to earth as King, confirming His eternal
kingdom for all to see.
That the Bible is God's Holy Word to man and is the
supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
That salvation is the gift of God to men, separate from
works and law and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ,
producing works acceptable to God. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was
manifested to destroy the works of the devil and through His shed blood at
Calvary purchased our salvation.
That the true church is the living, spiritual body of
Jesus Christ- Christ being the head. The church is made up of born-again
believers, born of the Holy Spirit and by the Word.
That various gifts and offices of the Holy Spirit are
delegated to the church and are necessary, not only for the fulfillment of
the Great Commission given by Christ to His disciples and the Church, but
for the perfecting of the Saints (believers), and until we all come to the
unity of the faith, and grow up into Him in all things, which is the Head,
even Christ.
That God's purpose is to establish local churches in
every area, dependant upon the Holy Spirit, for the equipping of believers
to do the work of the ministry and to take the gospel to those who know not
Christ.
That the Holy Spirit gives believers spiritual gifts
according to His will to be used as they are needed in ministry and
therefore believers should live a spirit-filled life, demonstrating the
fruit of the Holy Spirit. According to the Word, these gifts, directed by
the Holy Spirit, are also subject to be mentored, disciplined, and corrected
when necessary by seasoned local church leadership.
That the natural result of training in the arts should
provide us with a vehicle to express God's glory not only locally, but in
the nations, resulting in a great harvest of souls and an explosion of
worship.
That our goal is not only to make converts, but to train
them to become worshipers in the Holy Spirit and in Truth- for such as these
the Father God seeks.
